Hello, I’m Andy Bird.
I started my CNC side hustle in 2018 with zero experience. I wasn’t trying to build a business — I just wanted my hobby to pay for itself and bring in some extra cash.
Like most beginners, I wasted money and wood guessing what might sell. Once I figured out how to make simple CNC products people already want, everything changed. My hobby turned into reliable side-income, not a second job.
Over time, that even led to wholesale work for companies like Saturday Night Live and HGTV — not because I built a big business, but because a CNC side hustle can be surprisingly profitable when you make the right products.
Since then, I’ve taught over 100,000 people how to do the same through my YouTube channel, helping hobbyists turn their CNC into a fun, stress-free source of extra income.
